Trying to find the best way to take a photo of the finished
antique shoe quilt...this wasn't it! But they were having fun
anyway!

Rachelle had about all the serious photo taking she could for
that day...silly girl. Her brother got this great shot.

When we were taking photos of this vest in North Carolina,
Zack had fun with the contrasts of the colorful doors on my
sisters house. I just had to post this photo of Lydia Maria
for you to see. Isn't she pretty against that yellow door! Not
such a good photo of the vest...but an awesome contrast photo
anyway!

Here's my daughter-in-law on her wedding day, isn't she beautiful! It was too windy that day to wear the lace shawl, but we got a photo anyway. That's what I was making with that pile of lace pictured below!

Here's the first wedding dress of 08! This is my dear niece, Britta, who is as funny and charming and beautiful for real, just as she looks in this photo!
I made this dress with silk organza circles...lots and lots and lots of them...sewn on a silk organza full circle skirt. (You should have seen my studio that day! All my little elfs ...other niece, my daughters... and chief bossysewinglady ...me... were flapping about in fluff!) The bodice was draped with silk chiffon and buttons down the back with teeny tiny covered buttons. This was a really fun dress to make. I felt like the princess's fairy godmother! (Except, no magical pointy thing, unless you counted pins and needles!) Thanks, Britta, for giving me the privilege of being part of your wedding day!

"Why thank you sweetie, now I might not bean you with this lovely bouquet!" she replies.)
