Embellisher Baby Bonnet

Make this heirloom quality baby bonnet using needle felting and an embroidery machine. This class illustrates the versatility of the needle felting, and shows how to get more mileage out of those lovely built-in features in your sewing machine.

Bonnet is made from linen and silk. Class kits include fabrics, pattern and embroidery designs on a CD.

Summer Sprite

Make a Fairy Sprite using an embroidery machine. All of the doll parts, including her body are made in the hoop, and then assembled with a few hand stitches and a little glue. This is a crafty project, sure to delight all ages of embroidery enthusiasts!

Quilted Pillow

Fast, fun and really easy, this project is sure to delight both professional quilters and those who think they can’t quilt! The quilt square showcased in this fashionable pillow is pieced, appliquéd and stippled with batting in the hoop. The mini-corners and half blocks that join the appliquéd squares are also stippled with batting in the hoop. Rickrack trim and beads complete the look.

Blooms (Poinsettia or Pansy)

Most 3D flowers are time consuming and difficult...but these sweet blooms are fast, fun and simple!  The petals and leaves are embroidered on silkorganza and assembled with a few hand stitches.  Because the stitching time is actually very short and no stabilizer is needed these blooms are very quick to make.

Perfectly Patched

Have you ever wanted to put embroidery on projects that cannot be sewn on and will not fit in a hoop?  With these patch methods you can!  Suitcases, leather totes, straw purses, wooden boxes, glass containers, plastic bins…your imagination is your limit!

In this class we will make a framed appliqué patch, which will be finished and ready to apply to the project of your choice. Two additional patch methods will be displayed and demonstrated during class. Students will not only learn how to make patches, but will also learn how to apply them permanently and professionally to many different substrates by using the right stabilizer and glue.  This class also covers tips, tricks and tools for creating professional machine embroidery appliqués.

Learn tips and tricks for successful, professional results. Find out about the right fabrics to use (there are lots) and the wrong fabrics (there are a few). The right tools, stabilizers and techniques will be discussed and displayed.
