Create a stunning soft-sided tote bag while learning how to use your Baby Lock Sashiko and Embellisher! This project will teach you how to do some of Evy’s favorite Sashiko techniques as well as her method of creating whole cloth from needle felted scraps of silk fabrics while you make this elegant tote bag!
This project contains a printed paper tote bag pattern and instructional mini-CD. The little perched bird and dimensional flower embroidery designs are included on the CD. The step-by-step instructions are fully illustrated with drawings and photographs. The finished size of the tote is approximately 16” high (at the tallest point of the bag), 19” wide (at the widest width of the bag and 6.5” deep. There are two needle felted, curved pockets, one on each side of the bag. The bottom is an oval shape. Inside pocket directions are included.
Suggested fabrics: Silk Dupioni, silk organza, silk chiffon, silk batiste, decorative ribbon and flag yarns, crewel embroidery thread and glass beads (Visit Evy’s “Favorite Places” page to locate great shopping links for silk fabrics!)
The price below includes the shipping cost. Formats included on the CD are: ART, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES and VIP. 4x4 and 5x7 hoops are required for the embroidery designs, however this project can be created without an embroidery machine should you wish to exclude the little bird and dimensional flower embroideries.
