Got scraps? Such a silly question! Those of us who are dedicated stitchers HAVE scraps, and we tend to stash them. This project is really fun because not only does it let you use up some scraps (which means you’ll need to buy more fabric - ha!) but it also shows you how easy it is to “paper piece” in the hoop.
This quilt project is perfect for complete beginners. If you have never made a quilt, start here. The PDF directions are step-by-step with lots of photos that you can view on your computer or print out to follow. Quilt construction, helpful hints for quilting, bias binding instructions (including easy mitered corners!) along with other tips and tricks make this project easy and fun! For those of you who own an embroidery machine and LOVE embroidery but look longingly at quilts – here’s a great way to get yourself quilting!
There are four differently pieced blocks in this set saved in three different sizes suitable for the 4x4, 5x7 and 6x10 hoops. All sizes are available in ART, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VIP and VP3 formats.
Let’s make a Scrappy Quilt!
PLEASE NOTE: Unlike the other designs in this category, the Scrappy Quilt designs do not include stippling. Each quilt block is pieced together in the hoop, and after following the instructions to construct the quilt, you will need to quilt it in whatever manner you desire!
