Shadow Work Swallow Tutorial

Did you know you could do shadow work embroidery with your embroidery machine? Want to try it? Check out this sweet tutorial and stitch up a shadow work Swallow. The tutorial explains how to use reverse applique and a daintily digitized design to create vintage looking embroidery. This design would be perfect for weddings, babies or even tea towels!

This tutorial includes the design in ART, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VIP and VP3 formats. It is sized 2.55" x 2.71" and has 2,180 stitches. You'll need a fine cotton fabric such as batiste, voile or hankerchief linen, crisp fabric for the under-applique material such as silk organza, cotton organdy or well starched quilt weight cotton, wash-away stabilizer and two colors of machine embroidery thread. Step-by-step PDF instructions with lots of photographs makes this project super easy!
