Fun and fashionable, this old-fashioned shoe quilt is made from appliquéd and stippled-in-the-hoop blocks. No need for quilting experience! The embroidery machine practically does it all. Step by step, pictorial directions show you how to create the blocks, piece them together with strips of sashing and finish it to create a lovely mini-quilt or wall-hanging. Make a bigger quilt by adding more blocks. Or use just one block to create the sweet little lavender sachet pillow for which instructions are also included.
The Antique Shoe quilt includes all the files shown on this page. You may purchase the rose stippled blocks separately should you wish to use them with other quilted blocks.
ART, EXP and PES formats contain the 4x4, 5x5, and 6x6 block sizes. HUS, JEF, and VIP formats contain the 4x4 and 5x5 sizes. Appliqué directions are included in the PDF instructions as well as lots of helpful hints and tips.
The three stippled only blocks are used to finish the edges of the quilt to make an easily bound rectangle shape. The 4x4 size includes a design file with the double corner blocks, single half block and full square block. They each require a 4x4 hoop. There is also a double half block design for the 4x4 size, and it requires a 5x7 hoop. However it is not necessary to have a 5x7 hoop as that design is saved as a single design as well. The 5x5 size includes a design file with the double corner block, double half block and full square block. They require the 5x7 hoop. The 6x6 size includes a double half block, quadruple corner blocks and the full square block. They require the 6x10 hoop.
