Easy Piece-y... in-the-hoop paper piecing!
I have fallen quite in love with paper piecing quilt blocks in the hoop! There’s something just so satisfying about letting my amazing embroidery machine do all the work while I get to enjoy a perfectly seamed, beautifully detailed pieced design angst free! What’s not to love about that? Want to piece along with me this year? Collect all twelve block designs; there’ll be a new block each month!
Included in the zip file download are five sizes of bee block designs – 5”, 6”, 7”, 7.78” and 8” – and the PDF “patterns” for the blocks to aid in cutting out the fabric pieces. Also included is a stipple-only design file for each block size. (The 7.78” block, which fits Baby Lock’s 8x8 or 8x12 hoop, uses the 8” stipple too.) The zip file contains all of the designs in ART, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VIP and VP3 formats; step-by-step directions for piecing the blocks; and some basic sashing instructions in case you wish to piece several stippled blocks together to create a “quilt as you go” project.
Note! The sample bee block shown in the first two photos below was quilted and "feather stitched" with Baby Lock's Sashiko machine!
These blocks make great mini-quilts, table runners, pockets for anything, and super additions to any quilt project you have going!
This design set will automatically be added to your cart during the month of August, 2018, with any $10 purchase.
