These three “patch” appliqué designs represent the best of fashion from the fifties, sixties and seventies. Each design includes a border satin stitching to make a finished edge for ease in gluing the “patch” to a store bought bag. Although these appliqué designs are especially intended to be used as purse fronts, they would be just as fun stitched on the back of a jacket, added to a quilt or used to embellish some other wonderful work of art!
Note: The photo below of the lady on pink with fluffy pink hair has been created using the 60's face. Her hair is needle felted wool roving, her dress and garden and needle felted silk fabric scraps. Her hand was taken from the Oriental Purse front Fan Lady's design and a needle and thread was added with hand embroidery. Beads and buttons further accent this fun piece!
